About Rapid League

Rapid League is a world-first innovation that debuted in Tauihi Aotearoa in 2023. Rapid League games are effectively curtain raisers to the regular Tauihi matches that are kiwi-exclusive and designed to fast-track the development of local youth players. It is a standalone competition to Tauihi, featuring a separate ladder and awards. 

The team with the most wins by the end of the season is crowned the Rapid League champion. In 2023, the Mainland Pouākai were named the inaugural Rapid League champions, boasting a league-best record of 10-2.
