CHRISTCHURCH, New Zealand – The news is out! Indiana Fever rookie Bree Hall is taking flight with the ProBuild ITM Mainland Pouākai!
A two-time NCAA National Champion with the SEC powerhouse University of South Carolina Gamecocks, Hall is taking her talents abroad as she prepares to make her Tauihi debut this Friday night.
“It’s great to finally have Bree here with us. She’s a high-character, two-way player who’s going to elevate our defense and bring real energy at both ends of the floor,” said Head Coach Alex Stojkovic.
“Bree is athletic, can push the pace in transition, and is more than capable from the three-point line, while also being able to attack the rim. She’s a competitor with championship experience, and that mindset will immediately raise our team’s standard.”
On her decision to play Tauihi, Hall cited the opportunity to develop as her main motivator. “I want to keep expanding my game and show more of my versatility,” said Hall. “This season is about getting comfortable taking on bigger roles, staying efficient, and continuing to grow as a leader on and off the court. I also want to soak up the experience of a new country, new league, new perspective.”

Hall was selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever, where she was lauded for her defensive presence, shooting ability, motor, and athleticism.
“Bree’s going to play a big role on both sides of the floor,” said Stojkovic. “Defensively, she’ll help set the tone with her length and athleticism, while offensively she’ll give us another threat in transition and from the perimeter.”
“She understands how to win and how to play within a system — her time at South Carolina and in the WNBA has prepared her really well for Tauihi.”
After playing the WNBA preseason with the Indiana Fever, Hall was picked up by the Golden State Valkyries for a portion of their inaugural season. In September, Hall rejoined Indiana for their playoff push, making it as far as the Semi-Finals.
“The pace, physicality, and mental side of the league were a big jump, but it taught me to focus on consistency not perfection,” said Hall reflecting on her WNBA rookie season. “Every game and every rep was a chance to grow, whether it was practice or in-game experience. Also having the opportunity to learn from some of the greatest players in the league helped me improve my basketball IQ.”
“Adding Bree makes us extremely deep and versatile,” added Stojkovic. “She’s coming off a season where her team reached the WNBA Semi-Finals, and that experience, combined with two college championships at South Carolina, brings real pedigree into our locker room.”
When asked to break down her game, Hall described herself as “a big guard with athleticism and size, with the ability to score from the 3 & downhill driving,” as well as “a versatile lock down defender guarding 1-4.”
“She’ll add toughness, composure, and a winning mentality that will help take our group to another level. I can’t wait to see her on-court Friday night.”
